Special Population Considerations
Special groups are newborns, children, pregnant women and any other vulnerable groups where applicable.
There is no evidence that ethyl vanillin will have any negative effects on these vulnerable groups. It should be safe to use ethyl vanillin in food for newborns and pregnant women. However, we still recommend that consumers seek professional advice before long-term use of ethyl vanillin in large quantities in food for newborns or pregnant women.
